Background:

Professor Falk holds the position of Research Chair in the Faculty of Science, Information Technology and Education (SITE) at the University of the Northern Territory. He was Director of CRLRA until May 2002. His research disciplines are sociology, socio-linguistics and ethnomethodology. Research interests include adult learning, lifelong learning, learning communities, social capital, trust, and the effectiveness of policy interventions on social and economic wellbeing. Areas of Expertise: Learning communities; community and regional development; communication; collaborative learning; special groups in regional areas; adult learning and literacy and sociology.
